Born on the shores of Lake Geneva in the late 18th century, Chasselas has been Switzerland's most popular grape variety for generations.
Slow maceration over 5 weeks gently extracts the tannins, color and structure of this red wine. A 12-month ageing period in 400-liter barrels (50% new, 50% 2nd passage), during which the second fermentation takes place, concludes the elaboration of this specialty.
