    Popular tradition links Syrah with the Iranian town of Schiraz. Syrah is the king of the Côtes du Rhône, where it produces the prestigious Côte-Rôtie and Hermitage wines. Since 1921, it has been established in the Valais region, thanks to the grape variety collection of agricultural engineer Henry Wuilloud at Diolly sur Sion.
    Slow maceration over four weeks gently extracts the color and tannins responsible for the structure of this red wine. An ageing period of 10 months in vats, during which the second fermentation takes place, concludes the elaboration of this specialty.

    The spicy, peppery bouquet is characterized by notes of licorice, blackcurrant, black cherry and undergrowth.
    Aromas of spice, pepper, blackcurrant and black fruit reveal a rich, voluminous palate supported by firm, mellow tannins.
