Constellation Imhof 2012

The illustration for this Constellation is by Nicolas Imhof, a digital painter from the Valais region. He has created worlds for films such as "Harry Potter", "Batman & Robin", "Babe II" and "Scooby-Doo", and remains the only person to have transformed digital art into works of art.

History

Produced from low-yielding vines selected from the best slopes in central Valais, this blend is made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cornalin, Merlot and Syrah.

Winemaking

Meticulously controlled maceration for 25 days, followed by 15 months' ageing in 3rd and 2nd passage barrels, as well as in new barrels selected according to the specific characteristics of each grape variety.

Dress

Intense red with purplish-black highlights.

Nose

Ample bouquet characterized by notes of tobacco, fresh leather, black fruit, licorice with hints of spice and roasting.

Mouth

Aromas of small black fruits, subtle notes of spices and toasted oak, supported by firm tannins. Fresh, harmonious finish.

Gastronomic pairings

A perfect accompaniment to grilled poultry, red meats and cheese platters.
