Once found only in the vineyards of the Upper Valais, Heïda is now also honored in French-speaking Valais. Heïda and Païen are the Valais appellations for Savagnin Blanc, the grape variety behind the famous vin jaune du Jura. It is a member of the Traminer family.

Winemaking

Slow, gentle pressing, an initial low-temperature fermentation and several months in vats, during which malolactic fermentation takes place, guarantee maximum fullness and roundness, while preserving the finesse and freshness of the aromas.

Dress

Golden yellow

Nose

Notes of apple, lemon and dried fruit.

Mouth

Notes of lemon, dried fruit and plum. A rich, virile wine with a dense, complex structure and lovely, discreet acidity.

Gastronomic pairings

Heïda goes well with fish, seafood and mountain cheeses, as well as traditional Valais dishes such as raclette and assiettes valaisannes.
