Born on the shores of Lake Geneva, Chasselas has kept its old Valais name of Fendant. The name comes from the fact that the ripe berry splits under the pressure of a finger. Introduced to the canton in the 19th century, Fendant became the main regional grape variety after the vineyards were rebuilt following the phylloxera crisis.

Winemaking

Gentle pressing, strict settling, selected yeasts and complete temperature control during alcoholic and malolactic fermentation give this wine all its finesse and harmony.

Dress

Straw yellow

Nose

The subtle bouquet reveals notes of lime blossom, flint and mango.

Mouth

The elegant structure is characterized by a lively attack and finish.

Gastronomic pairings

Ideal as an aperitif, Fendant is a traditional accompaniment to Swiss specialties such as fondue and raclette. It also goes very well with fish and seafood.
